Core Principle in the Baptist Church
The core principle in the teachings within the Baptist church is a Latin term “sola scriptura”, which means Scripture ONLY.
- It is a distinct principle with Baptists that they acknowledge no human founder, recognize no human authority, and subscribe to no human creed.
- For all these things, Baptists of every name and order go back to the New Testament.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Church accepts the sacred Scriptures to be a divinely inspired record and therefore a trustworthy, authoritative rule of faith and practice. We firmly believe that the Word of God, the Bible, is the final authority for all matters of faith, conduct, belief, and Church governance. We are a Word-based, Christ-centered, Spirit-led Church. We will accept nothing over the Word of God which is the Holy Scriptures.
